ICT continues to grow at Arrow Vale at a considerable rate and to ensure that technology is used as efficiently as possible, Arrow Vale houses it's own IT Support Team.
The IT Support Department aims to offer exceptional support to all members of staff and students regarding IT related issues, problems and requests. IT Support also maintains the network and ensures that the appropriate upgrades and maintenance is carried out.
The IT Support Office, often referred to as the 'hub of the school', is the first place of contact regarding IT Support issues. The IT Support Office is situated by the Small Dining Room.
As of September 2007, Arrow Vale has over 460 computers around the school which includes a desktop in each classroom. There are 12 dedicated IT rooms and a sixth form IT study area. We have a dedicated internet connection - a 100mb fibre optic cable.
As of January 2007, the IT Support team launched the knowledge database for staff at Arrow Vale. The aim was to help improve the support process. Staff can now report problems with their laptop, desktop, projector, printer from their classroom using the web-based system designed in-house. This allows for prompt and effective IT Support. The knowledge database also contains a large selection of articles, tutorial and how-tos of common problems which are easily fixed. For more information, click here.
