Frog is our new learning platform which will enhance the way students learn and interact with each other and their teachers. Students will have 24/7 access to the school network and a wealth of resources. They will be able to discuss their homework on forums and in chat rooms, receive instant feedback from their teachers and share ideas with their peers.
We wanted to get students onboard from the outset, help shape it and give them ownership of the platform they will be using everyday. We advertised for three different roles and recruited a total of 19 students who were to become the ‘Tadpole Team’. The positions were Frog Wardens (forum and chat moderators), Frog Scholars (students who help departments develop websites) and Flash Developers (students who create Flash content for the platform).
We have been meeting weekly since the start of term and already our Tadpole Team are creating some fantastic pieces of work - all voluntary and all in their own time. We will keep you updated on the work of our Tadpole Team as well as all the other developments we have planned for Frog!
