Duke of Edinburgh - Silver
A group of Year 11 Silver Award participants took to the Peak District in October to take part in their Silver Practice expedition. Despite the cold weather the group completed two days of training on the hills, gaining more experience with their navigation and map reading skills. The second day their fitness was put to the test with an 18km route that involved several hard ascents and descents on some of the tough peaks in the area. With a late finish the group were awarded with a stop off at the local chip shop!
Well done to all involved and good luck for the qualifier in the summer.
